The West Midlands Backyard Ultra follows the classic backyard ultra format:
A 4.167-mile (6.7km) loop
Run every hour, on the hour
Continue until only one runner remains
It sounds simple. It isn’t.
This format strips running back to its rawest form: discipline, patience, resilience, and the ability to keep showing up when your body and mind are screaming at you to stop.
