FAQs about Weddings at Far Coley Farm
What’s included in your wedding packages?
For a full breakdown of what's included, please refer to our Wedding page

How many guests can your venue accommodate?
Our venue can comfortably host up to 150 guests for the ceremony and reception.

Do you offer weddings all year along?
At the moment, we only offer weddings on selected August and September dates. However, if you do have your mind set on a farm and another date get in touch and we can certainly discuss options.

Is accommodation available for guests?
Yes! We offer on-site accommodation for up to 18 guests (in addition to the bride and groom) at £75 per person per night. Accommodation must be booked alongside your wedding package, and if not, the balance will need to be covered. We can talk you through options for accommodation booking at the moment of venue booking.
There is also the option to hire additional bell tents through us for set up in one of our fields.

When do we get exclusive hire of Far Coley from and until?
Each wedding is unique, and timing can vary depending on the scheduling of previous and upcoming weddings. However, generally speaking, you will have access to the venue by the afternoon before your wedding, and through until lunchtime the day after. We can provide exact timings upon enquiry for your specific date.

Can we bring our own catering and drinks?
Yes, you have a totally free choice of catering and bar suppliers. Formal sit down meal, speciality catering? Food trucks? Cocktail bar? Beer Festival? All options are available to allow you to create an experience unique to you. We do however have a list of recommended local suppliers if you need any guidance – as we know the choice can be daunting. And if you want to bring your own drinks, the best bit is we won’t even charge you any corkage.

Is there a wet weather plan in place?
While we hope for sunny skies, we understand that weather can be unpredictable. Our beautiful tipi can be set up for your ceremony so you can rest assured that your day will go ahead no matter what the weather does.

Can we hold our ceremony at the venue?
Absolutely! However, as we are not licenced, any ceremony you conduct would only be ‘for show’. All of the on-site ceremonies you may have seen in photographs on this website or on social media are ‘personal’ ceremonies led either by a hired-in professional celebrant or in a number of cases, by a special family member or best friend. The legal bits of the marriage will need to be conducted in a registry office or other licenced venue which many of our couples do a few days or weeks before they come to Far Coley.
Where can we have our ceremony?
Embrace your love with a celebrant-led ceremony in one of our stunning, picture-perfect ceremony locations. Whether you dream of exchanging vows in a rustic outdoor setting or within a beautifully styled indoor space, we offer 3 versatile options to suit your vision:

Lakeside Serenity
Say "I do" with the serene backdrop of our picturesque lake, surrounded by nature’s beauty. This idyllic outdoor setting offers breathtaking views and an intimate, peaceful ambiance for your ceremony, making every moment feel magical.

Tipi Elegance
For a unique and enchanting ceremony, our luxurious tipi provides a warm, romantic space with natural light flooding in. Decorate to your style with boho-chic drapes, fairy lights, or floral arches, and let the rustic charm of the tipi create a memorable atmosphere for your special day.

Lawn Bliss
Enveloped by the beauty of our expansive scenery, your ceremony can take place beneath a floral arch, with the vibrant colors and fragrances of nature enhancing the joyous occasion. The front lawn offers a naturally beautiful, serene space.

Alternatively, there are several local churches just a stone's throw away, should you wish to hold a religious ceremony to mark the occasion.
We are hoping to be able to offer ceremonies in the wood in the near future.

Are pets allowed at the venue?
We love animals and are happy to discuss including your furry friends in your big day! Please bear in mind they are the responsibility of the owners and that there may be other animals and vehicles around the farm. We also ask that you let us know in advance if you'd like to have pets involved so we can make sure everything goes smoothly.

Can we extend the time of our wedding day?
If you’re having such a great time that you’d like to extend your (already 3 day) celebrations, just let us know! We do offer options to extend your venue hire time for an additional fee where availability allows.

Are there restrictions on music and entertainment options?
There are no formal restrictions in place but live music does need to stop by 11pm with the final hour being recorded music (i.e. DJ) which most bands will usually provide for you as standard.
What time does the venue close on a wedding day?
We close at midnight. Last orders are at 11:45pm. With us being such a rural venue, we strongly recommend guests arranging transport before the night and can supply you with information on local taxi companies during your planning process.
Do you have onsite parking for guests?
The venue has ample parking for you and your guests. Cars can be left at the venue overnight and collected the following morning.

Can we decorate the tipis to match our wedding theme?
Of course – we’d love you to decorate the tipis to match your wedding theme and style – whether this be Rustic, Traditional, Modern, Boho, Vintage, Festival or something totally different! If you need any inspiration – let us know and we’d be happy to help.

Are you there to help on the wedding day?
Yes - we will be there on your wedding day to assist your suppliers in their set-up and to oversee the venue for you. You can just enjoy your day and know it is all in hand.

How do we secure our wedding date?
Once you've selected your preferred date, we require a deposit to secure the booking. The deposit is £500 and can be paid online or over the phone. We’ll also provide you with a detailed contract to confirm all details.

What is the payment schedule?
To secure your date, you’ll pay £500 of the venue hire upfront. There are another three instalments and these fall 6 months, 3 months and 1 month before your big day. Accommodation will all need to be paid 1 month before your stay.

How far in advance should we book our wedding?
We recommend booking at least 12 months in advance, especially as we operate during peak wedding season (August/September). However, we’re always happy to check availability for last-minute bookings if you’re planning on a quicker timeline.
